A Theological Scuffle With A Jewish Man.

The following account transpired on a Christian/Jewish Facebook page a few days ago. Be forewarned! The language below is graphic, degrading, and may be too disturbing to some audiences! I think it might give some food for thought when considering Psalm 16 as a prophecy about Jesus’s resurrection.

Me:

Jesus is God in the Flesh

Jewish man:

Sorry, but your fake dead zombie man-god is nothing but maggot feces and NOT Hashem or Mashiach.

Me:

, hehe 🙂. His body never decayed because he was resurrected as foretold by king David: “you will not abandon my soul to Sheol nor will you allow your holy one to undergo decay” Psalm 16:10

Jewish man:

SM – Psalms ARE NOT prophecy. They are about King David’s life.

And this is Ps. 16:10 – 10For You shall not forsake my soul to the grave; You shall not allow Your pious one to see the pit.

And you haven’t even got a clue what it means, but it most certainly isn’t about your pagan idol that is nothing but maggot feces.

Me:

did David go to the grave? Did David’s body decay?

Jewish man:

SM – You really are a moron. King David went to the grave and decayed. But that is NOT what the line is talking about. It’s talking about Hashem not forsaking his SOUL and not allowing Hashem’s pious ones from spending time in Gehonim.

Go back to kindergarten as you haven’t got the ability to understand the basics of Tanakh or the meanings.

Me:

God bless you too!

But this isn’t just David’s soul or souls in general he’s talking about based on the context. There is also a physical meaning here as implied by verse 9 : “my FLESH will also dwell securely”. David went into the pit and decayed physically. His flesh did not ultimately dwell securely. This is not about him.

Jewish man:

SM – You know jack s**t about Tanakh and even less about ANYTHING ELSE.

Jewish man:

SM – And your blessings are as worthless as you are.

Until Next Time!
